Are you trying out new thing? Trying new thing requires courage. Venture into new activity is a form of risk taking. Some people plan well before they start their journey. Certain people takes forever to start. Or are you that kind of person that will take action immediately when the momentum is there?
I see many people are ambitious and planned their journey well. The problem is I do not see them taking their first step. Maybe it is not the right time for them to start. However, when I questioned when will be the right time to start, the answer usually is "Not now!", "Not so soon", or "When I'm ready". Again I want to point out, the answers that I often got, are vague.
Setting up a vague goal does not help. Not specifying a clear goal is not a courageous action. Why do I say so? This is because if you do not have the courage to set a clear goal, you are not brave enough to face your result (more on failure). You are afraid to confess your own results. If you do not set a clear goal which is measurable, you do not need to measure the results you have with the goal you set. You can always tell yourself "I am almost there", "I am doing good" without actually knowing where is the goal.
IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ME, PLEASE DECLARE A GOAL RIGHT NOW, and slowly feel yourself... What do you feel?
Whenever I try new thing, I will ask myself "how far do I want to go?", so that I know how long do I need to go, or how far do I need to go. The goal must be measurable. People often say "I want to be successful" or "I want to be rich", how do you measure "successful"? How do you measure "rich"? We always heard of this, but do we really know how wrong does it sound?
"Trying" is a very strong word too. Because when we say "we try", is because we want to feel good if we failed. Avoid using the word "try". It is either do or do not. Be courageous to be confessed with your own result. Result is always a feedback, it does not determine who you are, as it only tells you where you are.
