Business success is more often related to the marketing concept adopted by the organisation. The concept of marketing has been in existence for many years and it has stood the test of time, unlike production and selling concepts.
We are aware that there are many ways of doing business. Marketing is one of the important strategies for a business person. Marketing can be managed in various ways and Referral marketing can be an option.
Being in the referral marketing program, it does not guarantee success. It is a “training ground” or a “gym” for a business person that requires commitment, practice, and initiative. It may be workable and useful for some, but not all.
Some will, some won’t, so what?
A very fundamental concept to succeed in doing business by passing of referrals is to understand and practice the habit of giving. By giving more businesses to other people so the others will give more businesses to us in return. Having a mindset of giving. Another useful way can be always lending a helping hand to your referral partners. Asking the powerful question of “How can I help you?”

I am feeling good to gather business person together to do business in a harmonious way. Seeing people doing their business in a structured manner. Knowing the way of communicating the information about their businesses. During one-to-one, they communicate their own goals, achievements, interest, networks, skills and etc to each other. Getting to know the business referral partners even better in order to know how to help each other to grow their businesses. Be ready to collaborate with each other to provide better services. Of course, the interaction with each other has to be fun!
Referring businesses to others is not a talent, it is a skill, being referred by others is not a privilege or an entitlement, it has to be earned. It is important to be accountable to the person who trusted us and giving businesses to us. Not to forget, living up to the ethical standards of our own profession, be truthful and responsible for the businesses that we are being referred with.
