A competent and sustainable team plays important role in maintain the competitive advantage of a business. However, a team consists of people from diverse backgrounds and capability. The connection and relationship between the team members will affect the effectiveness of the team while executing a plan.
The bond and the relationship of the team members will have a significant relationship on the sustainability of a team. Leadership within the team affects the relationship of the team members.

The pinnacle of leadership is about who the leader is and what the leader is representing. The leader must have a vision that he stands for. People do not follow him just because they have to, but they wanted to. This leader produces result and develop his followers.
The team must be able to see and aligned with the growing mindset of the leader. In short, the leader must have the mindset to grow. Growing is always the best medicine for retention. The only way to avoid the team moving downwards, is to ensure the sustainable growing process of the team or the team's result.
The common question, is how to maintain the business or the firm to have sustainable growing process. The answer is simple, it is about leadership. The leader must possess the growing mindset. The actions taken by the team must be in tact with the mindset and the goal of the team. It is always about growth. Growing is not only about the number of the team members, but also about other aspects of the team such as, readiness, competency, maturity, perseverance, as well as the tenacity.
To ensure the sustainability of the team, or the business,
there must always be a strategy to grow the team, or the result of the team. Only with continuous growth, the sustainability of the team will be secured.
